For Children

  • Nursery and Preschool care for children birth through kindergarten is located in Arms Hall. Check-in begins at 9:15 am.
  • Children’s Church for children in grades 1 - 6 is located in Lower Sanctuary 102. Check-in begins at 9:15 am. Please ask a greeter if you need directions.
    Children’s Sunday school will follow at 11:00 am.

The season of Lent begins on Wednesday, February 18. Please join us for as we enter this season with a Wesley Covenant Service featuring worship, the Word, and the imposition of ashes at 6:30 pm in Lee Chapel. The Common Table dinner will be served in Gilmore Hall starting at 5:00 pm.

February 18 menu: fajita bowls, salad, and dessert

Dinner will be served 5:00-6:15 pm. The cost is $7 per person if reserved by noon on Wednesday, and $9 per person if reserved after noon on Wednesday or at the door. Any first-time guest who does not currently attend PazNaz and makes a reservation by noon on Wednesday can enjoy their dinner for free. Reservations can be made in the Welcome Center on Sunday mornings between Worship and Sunday School or by calling the church office during the week at 626.351.9631.


Sunrise Preschool Play-Date Open House
Are you or someone you know looking for preschool care for your 2-5 year-old? Come to the Sunrise Preschool Play-Date Open House on Wednesday, February 18, or Thursday, March 19, 10:00 - 11:30 am. This is a great time for kids to play and be creative while parents meet the teachers and get to know other parents in the area. Reservations are required and can be made at Paz.nz/pdoh.

Men’s Breakfast
PazNaz Men’s Ministries will host a breakfast on Saturday, February 21, in Reed Hall, 249. This month’s theme is "Super Bowl Saturday?" Doors open at 7:30 am for coffee with breakfast beginning at 8:00 am. Sign up on the patio Sunday mornings or email Mike.Eggehorn@gmail.com.

Red Cross Blood Drive
PazNaz is hosting a blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross on Sunday, February 22, 8:00 am - 2 :00 pm in Parker Gymnasium. To schedule an appointment, please visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter PAZNAZ. For more information, please contact Lois Hopkins at lah4225@gmail.com.

PrimeTime Day Trip
PrimeTime Ministries is hosting a day trip to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley on Thursday, February 26, to visit the special exhibit "Cowboys: History and Hollywood." We will meet at the church upper parking lot to vanpool at 9:00 am and plan to return by 3:00 pm. The cost of the trip is $50 per person which includes admission to the library, the special exhibit, and transportation. Lunch at their cafeteria is on your own. Family Worship Night with Jana Alayra
Sunrise Preschool and PazNaz Children’s Ministries are hosting a Family Worship Night with Jana Alayra on Saturday, March 14, at 6:00 pm. Jana is known for writing and performing catchy, high-energy, biblical songs especially for kids. Tickets are only $5 for children ages 2-5 years old and $10 for everyone ages 6+. Dinner will also be available 4:30 - 5:30 pm. Options include cheeseburger, hamburger, or chicken strips. All meals are $10 and include fries and a juice box or bottle of water. Tickets and meals can be purchased online at Paz.nz/JanaAlayra.

PazNaz Village
PazNaz Village is a support ministry for single moms and the children of single parents. Next month, PazNaz Village will meet on Friday, March 13, for a shared meal at 6:30 pm followed by separate age-appropriate programming for children, teens, and adults. Women in the Word
Please join Women in the Word for The Way of Wisdom, exploring the book of Proverbs with six teachers who examine wisdom principles for relationships, work, parenting, and spiritual growth through God's Word. This study meets on Tuesdays at 9:30 am in Gilmore Hall. Childcare and Zoom options are available. For more information, please contact Darlene Weaver at darlenegweaver@gmail.com.

2025 Giving Statement Update
PazNaz has been in transition between two giving platforms in recent months. If you made online donations to PazNaz during the last quarter of 2025, your year-end giving statement may have come to you in two parts attached to two separate email messages. Please be sure to look at both statements and verify that the combined statements accurately reflect your total giving for the year. Places to Serve

Cart Drivers - Drivers are needed to help people with limited mobility get from the parking lot to the Sanctuary. Please contact Pastor Darwin Ng at dng@paznaz.org for more information.

Church in the Park - Volunteers are needed to help the Church In The Park ministry team with food preparation, distribution, and clean-up. People of all ages are welcome to get involved. To get connected with this ministry please contact Godwin Shen (godwinsh@gmail.com) or Vanessa Hadikusumah (gpiggy@gmail.com).

Communion Stewards - Please consider joining the team of communion stewards who help prepare the elements for communion on the first Sunday of every month. For more information or to volunteer, contact Melody Bundy at mbundy@paznaz.org or 626.351.2425.

Handy Help – If you enjoy wielding a paintbrush, drill, or hammer, please consider joining the “Toolbox Tuesday Crew” to help with minor maintenance and repair tasks around the PazNaz campus on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Please contact Chenani Moncayo at cmoncayo@paznaz.org or 626.351.2414 to learn how you can put your ingenuity to work for PazNaz.

Helping Hands - Join the helping hands team on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays. The Tuesday team prepares donations for distribution by the Wednesday team. To sign up or more information, please contact Jim Yang at jwyang57@gmail.com

  • Verta Bugh, longtime member, passed away on Sunday, January 18. Her memorial service will be on Friday, February 27, at 11:00 am in Lee Chapel with a reception to follow.
  • Carla Duplex, longtime member, passed away on Friday, January 16. Her memorial will be on March 7, Saturday, 11:00 am in Lee Chapel with reception to follow.
  • Barbara Fetter, longtime member and retired pastor and missionary, passed away on Friday, February 6. Her memorial service will be on March 7 at the Bresee Church of the Nazarene in Pasadena hosted by the Altadena Church of the Nazarene. More details to follow.
  • Paul Forsee, a longtime member, passed away on Saturday, November 8. His memorial service will be on Saturday, March 21, at 11:00 am in Lee Chapel.
  • Tina Lindgren, daughter of long time member Pat Lindgren. Her memorial service will be Sunday, February 15, at 11:00 am during the Del Rey Sunday school class in Reed Hall, 248.
  • George Taylorson Jr., long time former member. His memorial service will be on Saturday, February 21, at 11:00 am in Lee Chapel with a reception to follow.
  • Gary VanEtten, longtime member, passed away on Wednesday, January 21. His memorial service will be sometime in the Spring.
