Life at PazNaz

Hanging of the Greens
Join us on Wednesday, December 3, as we deck the halls and fill the PazNaz campus with the beauty and wonder of Advent and Christmas! Beginning at 6:00 pm we’ll hang ornaments, string lights, and add joyful touches of hope and peace to every corner. At 6:30 pm there will be a special Advent prayer service to help us prepare our hearts for this special season of the Christian year.

Ladies Night Out
Buy your tickets now for Ladies Night Out on Friday, December 5. Doors open at 5:00 pm for a silent auction and gift basket raffle followed at 6:00 pm by dinner and entertainment by illusionist Johnny Ace Palmer. A free children’s Christmas celebration is available with the purchase of an adult ticket and advance registration. Tickets are $35 per person and may be purchased at the Women’s Ministries table on Sundays. For more information, please contact Bonnie Jakeway at bonniejakeway6@gmail.com.

Third Annual Oasis Talent Show
Celebrate the season at the third annual Oasis Talent Show: Christmas Edition, hosted by PazNaz’s Special Needs & Disabilities Ministries. Join us on Saturday, December 6, at 7:00 pm in Lee Chapel for an evening filled with musical performances, audience sing-alongs, Christmas carols, scripture readings, and poetry. Stay after the show for refreshments and fellowship. For more information, contact Special Needs Ministries Coordinator, Gretchen Moss at gretchenmoss66@gmail.com.

PazNaz Village Christmas Gift Sponsorship
This Christmas season, please consider adopting one of the five PazNaz Village single moms and their families. Grab a friend and sponsor a family together. Gift card donations in the amount of $25+ to local grocery stores, Target, Amazon, gas, fast food restaurants, and movie tickets are also welcome. For more information or a family’s wish list, please contact Erika de Santiago at erika.des2@gmail.com.

PazNaz Village Clothing Drive
Do you have gently used clothes taking up space? Bring them to the PazNaz Village Clothing Drive on December 13, 10:00 am - 12:00 noon in the PazNaz Lower Parking Lot. PazNaz Village volunteers will be on hand to help unload donations. Please place donations in trash bags for easy handling. Acceptable items: clothes, shoes (use rubber bands to keep mates together), linens, handbags, towels, backpacks. Not acceptable: damaged, dirty, mildewed, stained, ripped, or soiled items. No undergarments, bras, diapers, socks, electronics, books, or furniture. Donations are only being accepted on December 13. Please do not bring donations to the church office.

Widows’ Breakfast
The monthly widows’ breakfast will not meet in November and December because our usual meeting time coincides with Thanksgiving and Christmas. We will resume again on January 23 at the Corner Bakery as usual. Have a blessed holiday.

Thanksgiving Offering for World Mission
A special Thanksgiving Offering will be received through November 26 for Nazarene Global Missions. Please prayerfully consider giving above and beyond your regular tithes and offerings to extend God’s mission of love, salvation, and transformation around the world.

Lots of Christmas Presence
Led by Dr. Walker Railey | Reed Hall, 248
This class focuses on the symbolism of Advent. We will celebrate, again, the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem, and underscore the significance of the liturgical year. Each week a different Advent candle will be explained. The more we understand the theological significance of the birth in Bethlehem, the richer our faith becomes. When the calendar year and the liturgical year merge, we encounter lots of Christmas presence.

Wednesday Prayer
Led by Pastor Jasmine Brenneman | Reed Hall, 246
Gather for prayer for PazNaz and other concerns.

Women’s Wednesday Experience: A Love Worth Giving to You by Max Lucado
Led by Kimberly Marsh and Marlene Moncada | Gilmore Hall, South
This study will shed light on God's generous gift, giving you the encouragement that you need to embrace your place as a dearly loved child in his heavenly family. Reminding us of the most priceless gift of all, his unfailing love, a gift beyond measure.
